Police release names of suspects in Huntingburg burglaries

Update: The third suspect in the case was never identified due to being a minor but recently this suspect was charged as an adult in Dubois County Circuit Court. Aaron L. Hagen, 17, was charged as an adult in Dubois Circuit Court with a Class C felony count of burglary for actions that court documents indicate occurred April 13 and 14 in Patoka Township.
Update: Through the course of this investigation Huntingburg police have cleared 20 cases related to burglary and theft. They have also recovered over 100 items reported stolen.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department has also recovered several weapons and items from county burglary and thefts.
The total counts of burglary and theft are still being determined as the investigation continues.
Police are contacting victims in regards to the recovered property.

On Thursday police arrested 18-year-old Alan C.R.A. Friz, of Huntingburg, and 18-year-old Michael T. Orebaugh, of Otwell, for multiple charges related to the burglaries and vehicle break-ins that have occurred in and around Huntingburg this year (story here).
Friz was charged with the following:
- Aiding a Burglary While Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Class B Felony
- Four counts of Burglary, Class C Felony
- Six counts of Theft, Class D Felony
- Aiding a theft, Class D Felony
- Criminal Mischief, Class B Misdemeanor
- Two counts of Aiding Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle, Class B Misdemeanor
- Three counts of Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle, Class B Misdemeanor
- Two counts of Attempted Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle, Class B Misdemeanor
- Two counts of Attempted Theft, Class D Felony
Orebaugh had the following charges filed:
- Two counts of Burglary, Class C Felony
- Two counts of Theft, Class D Felony
- Attempted Theft
- Two counts of Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle, Class B Misdemeanor
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Dubois County Security Center. Both are being held on a $10,000 cash bond and should be making an initial court appearance later today.
Another suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile from the Huntingburg area, was taken into custody last weekend. The juvenile was taken to secure detention at the Southwest Youth Village in Vincennes, IN.
The Dubois County Sheriffs Department worked with officers from Huntingburg Police Department and the Indiana State Police on the case.

Lock them up for a long time, don't let them off easy. The burgaluries in Dubois County need to be put to a stop.
How about try to give them help . Alan is not a bad guy he has a bad problem and bad drug problem. Giving him help would be more benefit than locking him up and througging away the key forever
