Yvonne Brown, 71, Velpen
Yvonne Brown, 71, of Velpen, passed away at 6:45 p.m., on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.
She was born December 9, 1947, in Huntingburg to Jay and Vivian (Evans) Nolan.
Yvonne was a cook and homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts, growing flowers, painting, fishing and camping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie W.F. Brown, who passed away on July 4, 2017; her mother and father; one sister, Rhonda Carver; and one grandchild, Lucas J.W. Brown Clements.
Yvonne is survived by one daughter, Gloria Jo “Jody” Clements of Velpen; one son, Wesley J. Brown of Velpen; one sister, Ruth Hill of Winslow; one brother, Keith Nolan of Otwell; by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Yvonne Brown will be held at 1:00 p.m EST on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen, Indiana. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the burial arrangements.

This makes me so sad. I have very fond memories of Yvonne from our camping and horseback riding days. Her laughter and smile was always nice to hear. Rest In Peace beautiful lady!
I am so sorry for this great loss. Yvonne and Ronnie were great people. I loved growing up around them! Jody and Wes and all the family are in my thoughts and prayers. They were great landlords and much more…thinking of our vacation trip to Land Between The Lakes and their awesome pontoon boat! I was very blessed to be a part of their lives! Love and hugs!
