William Elijah “Bill” Goodpaster, 75

William Elijah “Bill” Goodpaster, age 75, of Holland, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the I.U. University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He was born November 29, 1937 in Rushville, Indiana to Russell and Maybelle (Hankins) Goodpaster. He married Norma Jean Thompson on October 1, 1959 in Hymera, Indiana.
Bill worked 35 years at Crane Naval Weapons Support Center where he retired as an electrical engineer. He was a member and Trustee of Zoar United Methodist Church and a member of the Moose Lodge in Washington; was a former Boy Scout leader in Odon; was the Clarksville Mall Santa Claus during the Christmas season since 1999 and a part-time Santa at Holiday World; was a United States Air Force veteran; enjoyed golfing, bowling and watching sports; and was an avid I.U. fan and Colts fan.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, and one brother, Russell Earl Goodpaster.
He is survived by:

Funeral services for William “Bill” Goodpaster will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Zoar United Methodist Church in Zoar with burial to follow at Zoar Cemetery. Pastor Marianne Hawkins will officiate the services. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Holland American Legion Honor Guard.
Friends may call for visitation at the Zoar United Methodist Church from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday morning, the day of the funeral. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
