William “Bill” J. Schepers, 68, Celestine

William “Bill” J. Schepers, 68, of Celestine, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at St. Mary’s and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Bill was born in Jasper on March 7, 1949, to Othmar and Marie (Rueber) Schepers. He married Betty Neukam on April 17, 1971, at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana.

Bill was a concrete truck driver until he retired. He was a member of St. Isidore Parish and the Celestine Community Club. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler, driving a truck and his tractors as well as spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Schepers of Celestine; one daughter, Sherry Wylucki of Holland; two granddaughters, Shelby and Tessa Wylucki of Holland; two sisters, Rose (Ron) Nixon of Celestine and Mary Griffin of Jasper; three brothers, David Schepers of Celestine, Kenny (Darlene) Schepers of Celestine and Dennis (Mary) Schepers of Jasper; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are one son, Jeff Schepers; one son-in-law, Michael Wylucki; one grandson, Wade Wylucki; and one brother, Ron Schepers.

A Mass of Christian Burial for William “Bill” J. Schepers will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at St. Celestine Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
