Two more COVID-19 cases in county bring total to 13

As of April 12, at 8 a.m., Dubois County Health Department has confirmed that two more positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified. This brings the total of 13 positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents.

“We are working closely with Indiana State Department of Health and local officials to ensure that contacts of the patient are identified and monitored.  Anyone who may have an exposure risk, has been or is being notified about potential exposures so that appropriate infection control procedures can be followed,” said the health department in a statement.

The cases of COVID-19 in the community are a reminder of the vital importance of taking precautions to protect our health and safety. At no other point in time, have our decisions made such a difference in either helping or hurting others. STAY HOME. Practice social distancing and good hand hygiene.  #INthistogether

  1. I would think that Virus Central would like be common places we people gather, geeee, let me think about where that could be.
Oh, I got it, the Grocery store, or a Grocery center where over 200 employees, most without masks are busy working, handling food and while on break, sharing the same coffee pot, faucets, sink, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.
Why there is not a mandatory mask policy in place is beyond me.

  2. I see grocery store management doing everything they can to make their stores safe for you & I to shop in. Employees are stocking shelves as fast as they can, their tired and just as concerned about the virus as you are.
If your worried about “Virus Central” think about this. Many factory employees are working together shoulder to shoulder.
They may not be wearing mask. They maybe sharing the same coffee pot, microwave, sink, etc. while on break.
Give grocery stores time. They have done an excellent job making changes to keep us safe.

    1. If no report of local Covid deaths or mention in obits, they’ve recovered – or are still treating/being treated, as this bug can linger several weeks for some while hardly being detected by others. In general, no news is good news – plus hard to hide/cover for death.
