Tuesday: 16 new Covid-19 cases in Dubois County
Tuesday, the Indiana State Department of Health recorded 16 new positive tests for Covid-19.
This brings the total number of cases in Dubois County to 1,479. Of the 1,479 cases, 26 residents have died.
At the time of the update on Tuesday, 9,843 residents had been tested.
The Indiana Department of Health also announced that 2,062 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with Covid-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. To date, a total of 166,564 Indiana residents are known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 3,958 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 51 from the previous day. Another 236 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

Testing:
For local testing, the site at 400 S. Clay St. in Jasper is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.
You can register for an appointment at https://scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov/. At the website, you will have to click “I don’t have an invitation code.”
If you do not have internet you can call the primary phone at 812-329-0523. If no one answers, leave a message and they will call you back.
Results should be available within 72 hours. If you do not get your results, you can call the Indiana State Department of Health at 1-877-826-0011.
Testing is for anyone who lives or works in Indiana. Anyone can be tested, even those not showing symptoms. There is no charge for the testing. However, if you do have private health care insurance, you are asked to bring that to the testing site.
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center also has a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site located at the former Old National Bank building next to Fazoli’s on the corner of Third Avenue and Rumbach Street in Jasper.
A physician/provider order and appointment time are required. Drive-thru times are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call Memorial Hospital’s COVID-19 hotline at 812-996-6330 with any questions.
You can also get evaluated for Covid-19 at the Memorial Urgent Care, 507 E. 19th Street, Huntingburg and at the Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in Jasper.

This is punishment from God for voting Republican. I’m old enough to remember when this was a decent Catholic community that voted Democrat. And with the moral decay of conservatism comes pestilence.

What a ridiculous statement! God is not a member of ANY political party. Both Democrat and Republican parties have their bad points as well as a few good ones.
