Trooper seizes more than 1.5 lbs. of marijuana during traffic stop

A traffic stop this afternoon led to the arrest of two California natives and the seizure of a significant quantity of marijuana.
Master Trooper Brian LaRoche pulled over a 2007 Toyota for speeding on Interstate 64 near the Ferdinand exit at 1 p.m. While conducting the traffic stop, LaRoche allegedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, giving him probable cause to conduct a vehicle search. He found a bag containing 1.7 lbs. (771 grams) of marijuana during the search, police said.
Both the driver, 20-year-old Jocelyn Sanchez of Placentia, Cali., and the passenger, 21-year-old Edwin Echeverria-Barajas of Anaheim, Cali., were placed into custody without incident and transported to the Dubois County Security Center. Both were charged with a Level 6 felony count of possession of marijuana.
Trooper LaRoche was assisted by the Ferdinand Police Department.

Amazing. Such an uplifting and beautiful name – Faith – for such a foul, trash-mouth. That stuff must be eroding your brain like those of so many. We want to diminish and brush-off as insignificant the very scourges of our culture – this is but one of many – that slowly but surely over time eat away at us both individually and collectively – body, mind and spirit – destroying the very fabric of our society. And we wonder what’s happening to our country.
