Touch-a-Truck to showcase Jasper’s equipment

13411888_1782278022004775_7251115865023351571_oThe City of Jasper will roll out some of its large equipment for the public to view and experience in an upcoming event; Touch-a-Truck.

Touch-A-Truck will showcase a variety of trucks and equipment from different City of Jasper departments. “It is an opportunity to show of our equipment and trucks,” Mayor Terry Seitz said. “We will have representatives from departments of the city with some unique vehicles, unique pieces of equipments from fire trucks to police units to the street department’s Jetter which is basically like the world’s largest vacuum cleaner.”

The event will take place Saturday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Jasper Train Depot. The Jasper Farmer’s Market will be taking place at the same time.

Children and adults of all ages are invited to explore the equipment with guidance from the respective departments who can explain and discuss the work that is performed.

It is a free, family fun event open to the public

  1. I bet the street department equipment is stil new. Roads in Jasper are worse than the coal roads in Boonville.
