Teresa Sue Hensley, 50, Petersburg

Teresa Sue Hensley, 50, of Petersburg, passed away at 2:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at I.U. Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.

Teresa was born in Washington, Ind., on August 3, 1967, to Tommy and Linda (Mattingly) DeJarnett. She married Billy Joe “Butch” Hensley. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2012.

She worked for Leed Selling Tools in Ireland, Indiana, and formerly worked at Gibson County Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, spending time in outdoors, her dog “Mister”, her cat “Ryan Michael” and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by one daughter, Journey Hensley of Huntingburg; two sons, Jake Powell (Mallory Gray)of Ireland and Cody Powell; her mother, Linda DeJarnett of Otwell; one grandchild, Karter Powell; one sister, Tabitha Ochs of Otwell; aunts and uncles.

Preceding her in death was one sister; Tonya Woolsey, and her father; Tommy DeJarnett.

Funeral services for Teresa Sue Hensley will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date.  Pastor Scott Fulcher will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. service time on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
