Steven R. Curtice, 65, Jasper

Steven R. Curtice, 65, of Jasper, passed away at 3:28 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.

Steve was born on July 24, 1953, in Washington, D.C. to Max Parke and Barbara Ann Ledbetter, and later adopted by Don Curtice and his mother Barbara (Ledbetter) Curtice. He married Maria L. Colantuoni on August 31, 1996, in Augustana Church in Holland.

He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Steve worked in the printing business his whole career for Woods Printing in Holland, Ind., retiring as a sales representative. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. He enjoyed line dancing, where he and his wife Maria served as instructors. He also enjoyed playing golf, pickleball, vacationing in Florida, and was an avid I.U. Basketball fan. 

He is survived by his wife, Maria L. Colantuoni-Curtice of Jasper; two daughters, Renae Marx (Kevin) of Newburgh and Stephanie Girten (Jim) of Morganfield, Ky.; one step-daughter, Angelica Colantuoni of Chicago; father, Max Parke (Lucy) of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Damien Reese, Justin Girten, Joshua Girten, Drake Reese, Nash McBride, and Gianna McBride; one sister, Donna Kramer (Brad) of Fort Branch; four brothers, Stan Curtice (Julie) of Princeton, Larry Curtice (Lisa) of Owensville, Marice Parke of Indianapolis, and Marlin Parke (Angie) of Indianapolis.   

Preceding him in death was his stepfather, Don Curtice, and his mother, Barbara Ann Curtice.   

A Mass of Christian Burial for Steven R. Curtice will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. 

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the noon Mass time on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or to a favorite charity.
