Stay-at-home orders extended to April 30

Over the weekend, the Indiana Department of Health announced March 28 the second positive case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Dubois County.

President Donald Trump announced yesterday that the federal government will be extending Stay-At-Home orders through April 30.

The Dubois County Health Department issued the following statement.

“We remind the community about the Stay-At-Home order to reduce the spread of the virus. During these times, it is very important to check on older neighbors, and older family members, but please check on them by telephone or by speaking through a window or storm door to prevent the spread of the virus. We plead with all generations to stay home, do not
hang out with friends, do not embrace others and as always, keep social distancing of at least 6 feet at all times.”

“We cannot stress enough the importance for all ages, the young and old, to do their part. In order to protect yourself, your families, and fellow community members, we urge you to take this seriously. STAY HOME, PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING and GOOD HYGIENE.”

  1. Then why are businesses like certain insurance agencies still open ? It’s not an essential business…

  2. Why do I see so many in crowds walking together ? I see every liquor store open …why ? Excuse my ignorance but I didn’t know that they are an essential business ? Now is the time to take better care of yourselves & and listen !
