Some moments and thoughts from around the county for the eclipse
We asked followers what they thought about the experience yesterday and here are some of their responses.

We also shared this cool video we received.

This was all and more than I recalled from our first total solar eclipse in 2017…that we drove an hour and a half to see in Hopkinsville, KY, and 5 hours back home afterwards. This time we just walked out in our Huntingburg back yard and took it all in. It was equally incredible to be sure, and thankfully the weather here cooperated. For me, now, there’s no eclipse like viewing a total solar eclipse with the naked eye during the totality phase…nothing less compares. There are few words, really…maybe something of, profound…emotionally stirring…surreal…spiritual…other-worldly…knee-dropping…awe-inspiring yet also fearful of what it is and isn’t…that it’s happening before your very eyes (none of this so-called “AI” and/or simulation, et al) and so very rare in its totality for most of us. I thought about the one in 2017 for seven years afterwards, knowing there was another (this) one while looking forward to 2024. It didn’t disappoint.
