Scott D. Dowdell, 57, Syracuse
Scott D. Dowdell, 57, of Syracuse, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at his residence.
He was born November 12, 1962, in Huntingburg, to Ronald M. and Viola Ruth (Reinbold) Dowdell. He married Susan Tevault on October 19, 1985, in Orleans, Indiana.
Scott was self-employed, a member of the Indiana Jaycees, and an avid bow fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two nephews, Ryan Dowdell and David Dodson III.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Dowdell of Jasper; one sister, Carolyn Dodson of Jasper; and one brother and sister-in-law, Alan (Kerry) Dowdell of Fort Branch.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. EST Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Burial will take place at Augusta Cemetery in Augusta, Indiana. Larry Mickler will officiate at the funeral service.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
