Samuel Patrick Jacob, 26, Jasper
Samuel Patrick Jacob, 26, of Jasper, passed on to eternal life at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
Samuel was born in Jasper, Indiana, on January 9, 1992, to Dean and Joan (Streicher) Jacob.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper and the Jasper Knights of Columbus Council 1584.
Samuel was an Eagle Scout, where he was previously a member of Troop 185. He was also a past member of St. John Bosco Youth Group, where he attended many summer work camps.
He tried his best to bring joy to others and to make the lives of others easier and happier. Sam’s love for others will be missed by all.
He is survived by his parents, Dean and Joan Jacob of Jasper; one sister, Kelly of Kokomo; paternal grandfather, Donald Jacob of Jasper.
Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Martina Streicher, and paternal grandmother, Helen Jacob.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Samuel Patrick Jacob will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at a later date.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John Bosco Youth Ministry, Boy Scout Troop 185, or to a favorite charity.

I met Sam while working at HD. The man had an infectious smile, a great attitude, and was always willing to lend a hand if you needed it. I wish I could’ve known him better. The Jacob family has my deepest condolences.
