Ronald O. Traylor, 86, Jasper
Ronald O. Traylor, 86, of Jasper, passed away at 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
Ronald was born in Otwell, Indiana, on March 20, 1932, to Owen and Louie (Doades) Traylor. He married Eula Craney in May of 1958.
He was a United States Air Force veteran and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He retired from the City of Jasper where he was a Water Treatment Operator.
Ronald was a member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper, V.F.W. Post #673, and a past member of the Jasper Moose.
He loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, fishing, and enjoyed college basketball, as he was an avid I.U. fan
Surviving are his wife, Eula Traylor of Jasper; one daughter, Jacque (Mike) Kemp of Jasper; three grandchildren, Starla (Scott) Neidigh of Washington, Justin (Jenny) Sermersheim of Jasper and Trevor Traylor of Petersburg; six great-grandchildren, Brycen, Brant, Maleigh, Ellie, Dylan, and Nora.
Preceding him in death are one son, Ronald A. “Buster” Traylor, and three sisters, Hazel Buchta, Helen Weisheit, and Garnett Whitehead.
Funeral services for Ronald O. Traylor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in St. Martin Cemetery in Whitfield, Indiana. The V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military gravesite rights. Pastor Darrel Land will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service time at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to Redemption Christian Church, Heart to Heart Hospice or to a favorite charity.
