Robert L. Woolsey, 79, of Huntingburg, formerly of Dale, died Sept. 12, at Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 15, 1938, in Dale to Ted and Lucinda Mae Woolsey.

He was an avid sports fan following the Heritage Hills High School Track and Field and Football teams and enjoyed horses.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel; two daughters, Sherry Woolsey-Kohut of Portage, Ind. and Rhonda Woolsey of Jasper; brother, Jim (Phyllis) Woolsey of South Bend; two sisters, Barbara (Kenneth) Dotson of Henderson, Ky. and Sandra (Jack) Hudson of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Service is planned for Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 10 a.m. CST at Heritage Hills Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Selvin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. CST at the Heritage Hills Baptist Church.

Fuller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

  3. First met Bob when he worked part time at the Abbey Press. A wonderful and kind gentleman. Will miss seeing him at the Heritage Hills football and basketball games. My thoughts and prayers to Mabel and family.
