Gail (Hasenour) Reutman, 57 of Celestine, announced that she will seek the Dubois County Recorder position in next year’s election on the Democrat ticket.

The chief function of the recorder’s office is to preserve and maintain public records. For the past four years, Gail has been the first deputy recorder in the recorder’s office and previously worked at Dubois County Title. During this time, the recorder’s office has scanned older records, making the documents more accessible and available for online viewing. Gail is a member of the Indiana Association of County Recorders and has attended numerous educational classes related to the recorder’s office.

Gail is married to Timothy “Rudy” Reutman, and they have two children, Robert “Bobby” and Threse. She belongs to St. Isidore Catholic Church (Celestine Campus) where she has taught religious instruction to 9th graders for 14 years. She is the daughter of Norma Hasenour and the late Delmar Hasenour.

With the experience and knowledge she has gained over the last few years, she feels now is the time to run for Dubois County Recorder.  “Helping the public and assisting them with the different aspects of the office is very rewarding,” she said.

She looks forward to continuing her service to the the public if elected as the next recorder.
