Former Backup Quarterback for the Arkansas Razorbacks, Nick Petrino was arrested Sunday night for OWI, possession of marijuana, a legend drug , and paraphernalia.

According to the police report, a Huntingburg Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Main Street for a possible drunk driver operating a 2010 Mercedes with Arkansas plates.

The officer observed the vehicle drive off the road into grass and then pull back onto the road.  The officer then pulled the driver over at Styline Drive.

After making contact with the driver the officer noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Mr. Petrino then completed a series of field sobriety tests that he subsequently failed. He was then detained and transported to Memorial Hospital for a blood draw.

  1. He isn't a backup qb at Arkansas, Chief.

He stopped playing after last year and was beginning his own career in coaching.

  2. Sorry about the misinformation. Thank you for straightening us out. This post was edited at 4:45, Monday July 18, to reflect that Petrino no longer plays for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
