Randy J. Morton, 62, Jasper

Randy J. Morton, 62, of Jasper, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at home.

Randy was born in Jasper on July 12, 1954, to Charles and Margaret (Klein) Morton. He married Becky Voegerl on April 30, 1983, in Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg.

Randy worked for Mehringer Metal in Jasper. He was a member of the Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 and Jasper Outdoor Recreation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and I.U. basketball. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving are his wife, Becky Morton of Jasper;, one daughter, Amy Dawkins (Adam) of Jasper; three sons, Chad Morton (Carrie) of Middlebury, Ind., D. J. Klem (Tasha) of Jasper and Ryan Morton (Holly) of Jasper; 13 grandchildren, Lance, Luke, and Ross Dawkins, Lucy and Joey Fetterer, Parker and Reid Morton, Norah and Jonah Klem, Kody, Kylie, Mason, and Mackenzie Morton; one sister, Ruth Bough (Steve) of Jasper; five brothers, Jack, Darryl, Douglas, Bob (Beverly) Morton, all of Jasper, and Paul Morton (Marilyn) of Indianapolis.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Randy J. Morton will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Jasper with burial to follow at a later date. Rev. Larry Van Camp and Pastor Paul Alvey will officiate.

Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before the service time at church on Thursday. The Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 will conduct a memorial service at 6pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
