Police seeking wanted man after he escaped into woods near Dubois

The Dubois County Sheriffs Department is attempting to locate a wanted person.

Christoper C. Jones, 38, is wanted on a Dubois County Circuit Court warrant for a Level 4 felony charge of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

Jones is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has numerous tattoos on his arms.

A multi-agency team of officers went to Jones’ address at 9901 N. Hickory Grove Road, Dubois, Wednesday to serve the warrant and Jones fled into a heavily wooded area as officers approached the residence, police said.

A K-9 was deployed but lost the track after about one mile in the woods.

Additional charges are pending for resisting law enforcement.

  1. any descriptions? I see the pic but with the hair in a hat not sure I would recognize. any tats?

  2. I saw a guy this morning walking in Perry Co..but he had alot of tats on his ankles had his pants rolled and could see those… had a hat on so I am just checking to see if he had tats like that.
