One new case of Covid-19 in county
Thursday, the Dubois County Health Department reported one additional case of Covid-19 had been diagnosed.
That brings the total to 261 positive cases of Covid-19 in Dubois County residents. Of the 261 cases, 239 have reportedly recovered and there have been six deaths. The health department reported about 2,817 tests have been conducted in the county.
Also Friday, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced 453 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus to 46,387 following corrections to the previous day’s total.
Intensive care unit and ventilator capacity remains steady. As of today, nearly 41 percent of ICU beds and more than 83 percent of ventilators are available.
A total of 2,469 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 13 over the previous day. Another 193 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

Why are both newspapers so behind on the numbers? According to the State of Indiana Covid-19 Dashboard, as of 7/3 Dubois County has 266 cases.
The local health department hasn’t given us an update. They announced they would no longer be issuing updates outside of normal business hours.
WHY CANT THIS STATE MAKE IT MANDATORY TO WEAR FACE MASK. SOME STATES ALREADY HAVE. BECAUSE YOU HAVE IGNORANCE OUT THERE PASSING IT ON.

Wow. That turned immature real fast. And yes, Wayne Schulte if you don’t want to get hit by a drunk driver, not driving could certainly help prevent just that. And as for Riley’s comment, I am not the one whom is concerned. I have no problem with the way OTHER people live their lives. Why should I change the way I do things to make YOU happy? You are all just mad you cannot control other people. This is a clear sign of narciscism.

Wayne Schulte, I did get your point. You blame others for all your problems. You are also unwilling to protect yourself and want others to do it for you. And I have no clue what Riley is trying to say. Maybe you could clarify for those of us not of the snowflake generation?
Unwilling to protect myself? I wear a mask anytime I go inside and have been wearing one for over a month at work. Did you know if people wore them we wouldn’t have another lock down and maybe not even a second wave? If I’m wrong worst thing is I wore a uncomfortable thing on my face. If you’re wrong you helped kill thousands.
