No new cases in Dubois County; state cases continue to grow

As of April 1, at 8 a.m., there were no new positive COVID-19 cases of Dubois County residents. Dubois County currently has three positive cases.

Governor Holcomb Executive Order 20-14, released on March 31, orders the extension of all Indiana restaurants and bars to remain carryout/pickup only through April 6.

With the extending social distancing guidelines to at least April 30, things to remember:

– Limit your trips to the grocery store, when going, go alone, do not take children or other members of your household.
– Postpone any planned parties or gatherings
– Wash your hands, cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough
– STAY HOME!

Hold yourself and others accountable for their health, your health, and the health of all of our citizens. We can get through this, but it will take everyone doing their part.

The Indiana State Department of Health announced 16 new COVID-19 deaths and 409 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 2,565 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

Sixty-five Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths have occurred over multiple days and are reported based on when data are received by ISDH.

To date, 14,375 tests have been reported to ISDH, up from 13,373 on Tuesday.

Marion County had the most new cases, at 159. Other counties with more than 10 new cases were Hamilton (49), Hendricks (21), Johnson (17) and Lake (25). The complete list of counties with cases is included in the ISDH COVID-19 dashboard at coronavirus.in.gov, which will be updated daily at 10 a.m. Cases are listed by county of residence. Private lab reporting may be delayed and will be reflected in the map and count when results are received at ISDH.

The dashboard also has been updated to make corrections based on updated information provided to ISDH.

Additional updates on the state’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak may be provided later today.

    April 6th or 30th?

      1. When does the order take effect?

The Stay-At-Home Order takes effect Tuesday, March 24 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

        When does the order end?

The order ends on Monday, April 6, at 11:59 p.m. ET, but could be extended if the outbreak warrants it.

        I pulled that from IN.gov

      1. Are you kidding the peak period wont stop till nearly the end of April. I feel we are blessed to live in Jasper or southern Indiana. Even if you stay away from everyone dont forget the grocerys you bring home could have covid on it in the near future when this all gets much worse. Hopefully in our area God will bless us and continue to keep us safe!
