Naomi “Ruth” Buechler, 81, Jasper
Naomi “Ruth” Buechler, 81, of Jasper, passed away at 5:45 pm on Friday, November 18, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville with her family by her side.

Ruth was born in Huntingburg on March 24, 1941, to Cecil and Irene (Kays) Winkler.
She married Joseph “Joe” Buechler on January 19, 1972, in Illinois.
She worked for Masterbrand Cabinets, where she retired after 35 years of service.
Ruth was a member of the American Legion Post #147 Auxiliary, Jasper Outdoor Recreation, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Huntingburg, the Jasper Moose, and the VFW Post #673 Auxiliary.
She was very outgoing and liked by all. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards, NASCAR, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Joe J. Buechler of Jasper; one daughter, Charlotte Renee Stilwell of Jasper; two sons, David “Billy” Stilwell of Huntingburg and Joe Dee Buechler (Connie) of Holland; two grandsons, Shaun Stilwell of Jasper and Daniel Buechler (Sheila) of Jasper; one granddaughter, Jaime Stilwell of Jasper; four great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and two great-great-granddaughters; four sisters, Edra Kay Fritz of St. Anthony, Dianna Elpers of Birdseye, Barbara Winkler of the state of Washington, Mary Winkler of Huntingburg, and Robin Winkler of St. Anthony, and two brothers Donnie Winkler of St. Anthony, and David Winkler of Oregon.
Preceding her in death were three daughters, Sheila Stilwell, Sherri Bohnert, and Barbara Stilwell; two great-grandchildren, Tim Bohnert and Rachael Schultz; one great-great-grandson, Zane Ahrens; three sisters, Bonnie Hawkins, Zona Paige, and Mary Winkler; and three brothers, Cecil Jr, Dale, and Keith Winkler.
A funeral service for Naomi “Ruth” Buechler will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at Enlow City Cemetery in Jasper. Pastor Brett Eckert will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service time at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The American Legion Post #147 Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at noon.
