Martha J. Wollenmann, 85, Huntingburg

Martha J. Wollenmann, 85, of Huntingburg, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at her residence.

She was born April 13, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to John and Lucille (Willke) Vehr. She married Charles J. Wollenmann on August 12, 1968. 

Martha worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg from 1966 to 1995 in the housekeeping department. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality, Shepherds of Christ Association, and past member of St. Mary’s church council. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Wollenmann, who passed away on July 14, 1985; her mother and father; and one brother, Jack A. Vehr D.D.S. of Cincinnati.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ivan (Erin) Wollenmann of Noblesville, Ind.; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth (Mike) Hentrup of Huntingburg, Ind.; one sister, Carole Giulieni of Cincinnati, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Eli Wollenmann, Ben Wollenmann, Claire Hentrup and Max Hentrup.

Funeral services for Martha Wollenmann will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Friday, March 6, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 5, 2020, and also from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. Friday morning. A parish vigil will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
