Mark E. Gilbert, 53, Holland

Mark E. Gilbert, 53, of Holland, passed away at 7:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Mark was born in Russellville, Kentucky on May 1, 1963 to Morris and Sandra (Eden) Gilbert. He married Diana Miller on September 22, 2001 in St. Henry.

Mark was a sander technician at Masterbrand Cabinets, where he had worked for 25 years.

He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed farm work and also enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic his entire life. He loved spending time and cooking out with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Gilbert of Holland; mother and step-father, Sandra and Thomas “Tommy” Woods of Madisonville, Ky.; one daughter, Cassandra Mays and her husband Thomas of Earlington, Ky.; two step-daughters, Brittany Hash and her husband Donald of Bloomington and Nichole Neukam and her fiancé Steven Hulfachor of Chrisney; one son, Marcus Trent Gilbert of Gentryville; one stepson, Zachary Gentry of Holland; one child, whom he cared for as his own, Jacoby Rust of Bowling Green; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Jason Woods of Madisonville, Ky.

Preceding him in death are his father, Morris Gilbert and one grandson, Jayson Inghram.

Funeral services for Mark E. Gilbert will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow on Friday, June 17, 2016, in Union Grove Cemetery in Lewisburg, Kentucky, with procession to the cemetery leaving from Young Funeral Home in Russellville, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. CDT.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
