Marcella A. “Sally” Lindauer, 88, Jasper

Marcella A. “Sally” Lindauer, 88, of Jasper, passed away at 12:22 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
Sally was born in Fulda, Indiana on September 25, 1927, to August and Clara (Nielander) Boehm. She married Linus J. Lindauer on October 21, 1947, in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1997.
Sally retired from the Jasper Holiday Inn in December of 1995, where she had worked in the housekeeping department for 30 years.
She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the D of I, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and was a volunteer worker at Memorial Hospital.
She loved flowers and mowing and working on the lawn. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Greulich and her husband Darrell of Ireland, Brenda Young and her husband Russ of Morton, Ill., Donna Linesch and her husband Doug of Florence, Ky. and Cheryl Greive of Jasper, who was also her caregiver; two sons, Arnie Lindauer and his wife Mary of Sturgeon Bay, Wisc. and Steve Lindauer and his wife Cindy Hudson Lindauer of Jasper; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Claude Boehm and his wife Maryetta of Fulda.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are three sisters, Corina Hildenbrand, Esther Harpenau, and Mary Ann Jochem, and four brothers, Karl, Cletus, Sylvester, and Edward Boehm.
Funeral services for Marcella A. “Sally” Lindauer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016, at Precious Blood Catholic Church, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana and one hour before services from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church on Friday.
