Wanted felon arrested at Jasper Walmart

Jasper police arrested a Monroe County man wanted on felony warrants in Morgan County after being called to the Jasper Walmart, 4040 N. Newton Street, for a disturbance in the parking lot Wednesday night.

Police were dispatched to the report of the disturbance between two subjects at about 10:13 p.m. When they arrived and met with the two, officers determined one, Christopher W. May, 28, of Old State Road 37, Bloomington, had an active warrant in Monroe County for violating his parole. They also found that May had warrants in Morgan County for a count of Level 3 felony aggravated battery and a Level 5 felony count of battery resulting in serious bodily harm as well as a misdemeanor count of resisting law enforcement.

Police arrested May on the warrants and booked him into the Dubois County Security Center.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
