Man arrested for unlawful possession of a gun

A Huntingburg man was arrested Sunday evening after police responded to a domestic disturbance involving a gun.
According to Huntingburg police, they responded to 617 E. Fourth St. at about 8:44 p.m. for the domestic disturbance report. When they arrived, they made contact with Carl Young, 49, of Huntingburg, and an adult female.
During the course of the investigation, Young was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, a Level 4 Felony.
He was transported to and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and the Indiana Department of Child Services also responded to the scene.

What’s the left-out part about the “serious violent felon” – the story is unclear or incomplete about how this came to be known, for what, and what this “serious violent” term means. Is he a current (escaped) or past (released) felon, and what is a “serious violent felon” compared to a simply a violent felon or vs just a felon??? And what is a “serious violent felon” doing out among us under any circumstances? Sounds pretty serious.
He is a released felon and he isnt a bad person he just got into the wrong things and wrong people… he didnt do anything serious enough for u to worry about fearing for ur life…
