Letter: No decent American should support the ‘Trump agenda’
There are a lot of nice candidates from both parties running for public office in our great state. The problem is that many feel they are obliged to support the current Republican agenda.
This administration directed children to be taken from parents seeking asylum in the USA, with no plan to ever reunite them; has withdrawn from the UN Human Rights Council; praises cruel dictatorships like North Korea by agreeing that the US military was wrong and is in fact “provoking” them with “war games”; lets himself be played by dictators; attacks our country’s closest allies, like telling Canadians there is a “special place in Hell” for them, calling them “back stabbers”; shows no respect for mother nature by dismantling the Environmental Protection Agency policies designed to protect honey bees and butterflies; shows complete disregard to the US Constitution he swore to protect by (1) using his public position for monetary gain for himself and family and (2) calls our Freedom of the Press the same as Stalin and Hitler did, “The enemy of the people”; has added trillions to the national debt; threatens to take taxpayer dollars from Social Security and Medicare to fund budget shortfalls; brags he can commit any crime and pardon himself.
This President insists on holding secret talks with Putin and with Kim Jong Un. Only he and our adversaries know what was said. He appears to our friends as a weak and incompetent leader. Being a white supremacist, he calls American Nazi and KKK members “good people”. Refers to blacks as low life, low mentality, and dogs.
According to his longtime private attorney, Michael Cohen, he makes secret payments to his mistresses while his wife is giving birth to their child.
Sadly, I cannot support any Republican running for office that does not refute the actions and agenda of this current President.
Regardless of political party, I do not understand how any decent American can support the “Trump agenda”.

Dan I don’t know how anyone is supposed to take you seriously anymore. I agree that a lot of the way President Trumps talks is disgraceful but your hysterics are laughable and embarrassing. You cherry pick so many out of context sentences. Some of them need no context because they’re so bad but half of those are nowhere near as bad as you make them to be.
You could go through and cherry pick Clinton’s actions and words to be just as bad, if not worse…and yes, before you deflect with the same response as everyone else, I’m aware Clinton isn’t President. The point is you allow yourself to be such a sheep to the media and yell at whatever they tell you to. You will carry on like this when Liberals say these types of things. Probably because you will never hear about it since your news sources are clearly so biased.
At one point I thought you at least tried to research your topics. You’ve clearly never been subjective, lately you just come across completely unhinged.

You forgot to mention about making fun of the handicapped live, Wasn’t that funny. Should we dedicate one day a year as national make fun of the handicapped? Does no one research political candidates anymore? How about checking into who they were and how they lived before they decided to run for public office? Things like morality, education, public service, character, family values and work ethic define a person throughout their lives. Donald Trump was a crook, a deviant, a womanizer, a loud mouthed bigot who made his money off the backs of the working poor long before he became a political candidate and he was never ashamed that these character traits were public knowledge. He also claimed to be a liberal democrat who supported legal abortion, prostitution and employed thousands of illegal immigrants. Remember him on the Howard Stern Show? I could go on and on … And NO, I don’t care for Hilary Clinton either.
