Lcpl Alec Terwiske will arrive in Dubois County on Wednesday, September 12 at noon according to the Marine Corps League.

A procession through the county is planned for Wednesday after he lands at Huntingburg Airport (see map below).

The public is being asked to not avoid the airport to relieve congestion but the Marine Corps League is asking the public to line the route and fly the red, white and blue.

The procession will drive north on U.S. 231 to Huntingburg and then turn east on SR 64. It will travel to St. Anthony and then north on Cross up to St. Anthony Road. From St. Anthony Road the route will turn east on Schnellville Road until it reaches Celestine and then head north on Celestine Road through Dubois until reaching SR 56 and turning west. The route turns back south on U.S. 231 in Haysville until reaching Jasper at Becher Kluesner Funeral Home.

Viewing and visitation will be at Becher Kluesner North Funeral Home on Thursday, September 13.

The funeral will be on Friday, September 14, at St. Celestine Catholic Church. Information will be made public as it is released.

This Saturday, September 8, there will be a public mass held at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine at 6 p.m.

The County Commissioners have ordered the flags throughout the county to be at half-mast beginning Wednesday, September 12 until dusk on Friday, September 14.

The State of Indiana will order flags to half-mast on Friday, September 14.

In conjunction with Patriot Day, flags can fly at half-mast beginning Tuesday September 11.
