Larry R. Jones, 79, Jasper
Larry R. Jones, 79, of Jasper, passed away at 5:04 a.m., on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at his home.
He was born December 1, 1940, in Velpen to Paskel and Helen (McClure) Jones; and married LuCinda Gutgsell on February 15, 1974.
Larry attended grade school in Velpen and graduated from Otwell High School. He was a career truck driver and member of Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 and the Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Janice Jones, who passed away on August 7, 2019.
He is survived by his wife, LuCinda “Cindi” Jones of Jasper; five children, John (Marla) Jones of Coe, Jerry Jones of Oakland City, Joseph (Sara) Jones of Washington, Lydia (Mike) Jones-Horvath of Indianapolis, and Angela Jones of Vincennes; one brother, Sam Jones of Duff; by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Saturday, March 28, 2020, with burial to follow at Augusta Cemetery, Augusta.
