Kenneth Weisheit, 82

Kenneth Weisheit, age 82, of Jasper, passed away at 3:31 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.
Kenneth was born on June 20, 1931 in Boone Township in Dubois County to Alvin and Viola (Leistner) Weisheit. He married his wife of nearly 60 years, Louise Hemmerlein, on September 24, 1953 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois, IN.
He was retired from Jasper Cabinet, from which he worked for many years, and also worked part time at the Dubois County Recycling Center.
He was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper. He was a member of the Jasper Moose, the Ireland Sportsman’s Club, and Jasper Outdoor Recreation.
He enjoyed playing cards, sports, taking drives in the country, and spending time with his six grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is a brother, Lewis Weisheit.
Funeral services for Kenneth Weisheit will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (August 22, 2013) at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. Pastor Adam Ruschau will officiate.
Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (August 21, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Kenny and I grew up together in Boone Township. I’m sorry the funeral was already over when I found out about it.
