Kathy M. Helming, 59, of Ferdinand

Kathy M. Helming, 59, of Ferdinand, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Baptist Health in Madisonville, Kentucky.

She was born January 25, 1958, in Jasper to Lawrence and Helen (Becher) Durcholz. She married Thomas “Babe” Helming on June 22, 1991, in Jasper.

Kathy was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish and St. Anthony Conservation Club. She enjoyed cooking, flowers and plants. She loved her dog, Ace.

Kathy was the director of dietary services at Scenic Hills Care Center and also worked at Kimball.

She is survived by her husband Thomas “Babe” Helming; one daughter, Tia Helming of Evansville; one sister, Phyllis Schue of Ireland; three brothers, Mark (Joann) Durcholz of French Lick and Scott and Pat (Debbie) Durcholz, all of Sheridan, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Kathy Helming will be held Tuesday, April 11, at 10 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Church. Burial will be at a later date.
