Kathleen J. Jahn, 60, Jasper

Kathleen J. Jahn, 60, Jasper, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on January 1, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, IN.
Kathy was born in Jasper, Indiana on June 21, 1956, to Joseph and Mary “Betty” E. (Schoenberger) Rowekamp. She married Anthony “Tony” R. Jahn, on April 23, 1978, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
She worked for 40 years in the healthcare field. During those years she worked at the Huntingburg Clinic, Dr. Thomas Gootee’s office and most recently at Flannagan Plastic Surgery.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, and Ireland Sportsman Club. She graduated from JHS in 1974 and attended Indiana University.
She enjoyed playing cards, reading, golf, spending time at the farm, canning pickles, enjoying her dog Stella, spending time with family and friends especially her grandsons Parker and Nolan.
She is survived by her husband, Tony R. Jahn of Jasper; one son, Brandon Jahn and his wife Audra of Jasper; one daughter, Molly Jahn of Jasper; two grandchildren, Parker and Nolan Jahn of Jasper; three sisters, Linda Mehringer and her husband Skip of Jasper, Donna Schmid and her husband Steve of Jasper and Jane Siebert and her husband Jim of Jasper; one brother, Bill Rowekamp and his wife Kathy of Jasper.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Funeral services for Kathleen J. Jahn will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.
Friends may call from 12:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity School and the Memorial Hospital Foundation.
