Joseph C. Snyder, 73

Joseph C. Snyder, age 73, of Jasper, Indiana, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

He was born June 11, 1939 in Hancock County, Kentucky to Oscar and Barbara Alberta (Riley) Snyder. He married Betty R. Pell on January 7, 1961 in Hawesville, Kentucky. Mr. Snyder was a retired sample maker for Kimball Corporation. He was a veteran of the United States Army; and was a member of good standing in Alcoholics Anonymous for 33 years. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Betty R. Snyder, who passed away December 1, 2010; his sister, Jean Whitfield; and two siblings who died in infancy.

He is survived by:

by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at the home of Joe Snyder Jr. at 458 Martin Lane in Evansville from 1:00-5:00 p.m., next Saturday, November 10, 2012. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
