Joan S. Stout, 80, of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:43 a.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at The Waters of Huntingburg.

She was born June 23, 1938, in Camden, New Jersey, to Howard S. and Ann (Wright) Straub and married Hugh Gibson Stout in 1958, in New Jersey.

Joan was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, decorating and the outdoors. She was an avid bowler and loved cats.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and 12 siblings.

She is survived by five children, Hugh (Linda) Stout of Waco, Texas, Sandra (Dr. Michael) Warren of Ferdinand, Sean (Jill) Stout of Waco, Texas, Cindy (Dwayne) Klem of St. Anthony, and Andrew (Susan) Stout of Huntingburg; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
