A registered sex offender was arrested after the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department received information regarding a rape and sexual battery that occurred earlier this year.

According to court documents, two juvenile females allege Martin S. Garcia Dixon, 21, of Cobblestone Dr., Jasper, was involved in raping or sexually batterying them in two separate incidents earlier this year.

According to court records, one of the two female victims alleges that on Feb. 10, 2017, Garcia Dixon raped her twice at her home when he visited while her parents were gone.

The second female victim told investigators that Garcia Dixon sexually assaulted her in his room at his home on Cobblestone Drive on April 21. According to the affadavit, Garcia Dixon allegedly confined her in his room while sexually assaulting her. He also provided alcohol to her prior to the incident, police said.

After receiving information from a forensic interview involving the two juvenile victims, the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department met with Garcia Dixon at his home.

Deputies interviewed Garcia-Dixon and then charged him with two Level 3 felony counts of rape, Level 6 felony counts of sexual battery and criminal confinement and a misdemeanor count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at about 2 p.m.

Garcia-Dixon is required to be listed on the sexual offender list maintained by the Dubois County Police Department for an incident in 2015 in which he was originally charged with three counts of molestation involving a 13-year-old girl. Garcia-Dixon pleaded to a sexual battery in the case.
