Janice Pauckner, 57

Janice Pauckner, age 57, of Huntingburg, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday (October 19, 2013) at home.

Janice was born on August 16, 1956 in Ferdinand, IN to Edward and Marcella (Weyer) Pauckner.

Janice was a Registered Nurse who worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Indiana.

She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, The St. Anthony Church Choir, The American Nurses Association, and the Jasper Jaycees.

She enjoyed cross stitch, cooking, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by one daughter, Carrie Holmes and her husband Daniel, of Huntingburg, IN; one son, Denny Pauckner, of Dale, IN; five grandchildren; one sister, Marcella (Sally) Klem and her husband Bill, of Jasper, IN; three brothers, Edward Pauckner and his wife Sylvia, of Indianapolis, IN, Jack Pauckner, of Huntingburg, IN, and George Pauckner, of Mariah Hill, IN;

Preceding her in death was one grandaughter, Anna Pauckner.

Funeral services for Janice Pauckner will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (October 23, 2013) at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 :00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday (October 22, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Women’s Center at Memorial Hospital, St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, St. Anthony Catholic Church, or to a favorite charity.
