Huntingburg: U.S. 231 to close at railroad crossing on Wednesday
Due to railroad crossing repair work, the crossing at US231 will be closed Wednesday, August 12, 2020, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
The crossing is expected to be re-opened by late afternoon/early evening on the same day.
Please find an alternate route during the work.
Not just especially for this/similar infrequent occasions – thankfully there’s the new overpass – but also in general, seems a signal device or two is needed either at 6th and Chestnut or 6th and Styline, and at 14th and Main/231.
