Huntingburg Police to resume walkthroughs of schools

Huntingburg — The Huntingburg Police Department will begin daily walkthroughs of the three schools in the Southwest School Corporation on Thursday.

In February of this year, the Huntingburg Police Department, through an agreement with the Southwest School Corporation, began a daily walk through of the three schools in the Corporation.

As school starts on Thursday, the department would like to remind parents and students officers will walk through at different times during school hours.

This will add an additional level of security to what the school already has in place.

Faculty and students are encouraged to talk to officers as they patrol the hallways during the day.
