Hoosier Hills Marina changes hands; new offerings
Hoosier Hills Marina was purchased by Victor Polen and Rebecca Masters earlier this year.
Since the change of ownership, Hoosier Hills Marina has added a rental fleet of pontoon boats, fishing boats, jon boats, and a rental camper cottage. Plus, new covered slips have been added this year. Currently, the marina features slips for more than 220 boats from 20-foot pontoons and cruisers to 10-foot houseboats. Hoosier Hills has covered and open slips with the option of water and metered electricity.

“The objective of our Team at Hoosier Hills is to enable all boaters to enjoy beautiful Patoka Lake and to enable the boating lifestyle,” Polen said. “One of the key features of the marina is houseboat rental offerings. These include four-bedroom, five-bedroom and six-bedroom houseboats and with the sleeper sofas, they sleep 10, 12, 14 respectively. A great Lake and a great boat make for an awesome vacation.”
Hoosier Hills Marina also has a restaurant that offers pizza, chicken wings and subs. The restaurant is open 11 a.m. until close during the season.
The marina store carries a variety of parts and supplies visitors may need for one day or an extended stay. The inventory includes marine supplies, fishing tackle, groceries, clothing and accessories, sunscreen and bait. The marina’s fuel pier offers 92 octane, non-ethanol, recreational fuel. In addition to the marine parts and accessories selection, the marina offers specialty parts on an individual order basis; usually delivered within one to three days.
Hoosier Hills Marina features Obrien Watersports Products, Hydrohoist Boat Lifts and now is proud to offer Manitou Pontoon Boats and Hoosier Trailers.
Victor and Rebecca are proud of their team at Hoosier Hills Marina. “The seasonal staff has been courteous and energetic,” Polen said. “As we move into the final weeks of the season, we have several that will remain through the fall and work on maintenance projects throughout the winter.”
Patoka Lake is nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana on the western edge of the Hoosier National Forest. This 8,800-acre lake with over 25,800 acres of natural forest is known for its exciting fishing and clean and quiet waters for recreation.
Hoosier Hills Marina started life as East Lick Marina when the lake was built and filled in 1980. Later in 2001 when the Marina sold, the name was changed to Hoosier Hills Marina which carries forward with the new owners.
“Whether coming for a day at the lake or a week on a houseboat, come let everyone at Hoosier Hills Marina help you have the best time possible on Patoka Lake,” Polen added.
