Henry Scott “Elvis” Davis, 69

Henry Scott “Elvis” Davis, 69, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 2:42 p.m., on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born May 27, 1945 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to Alfred and Ada (King) Davis. He married Jennifer A. Wagner on July 19, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

Scotty enjoyed playing music and as he would describe it “picking and grinning” on his guitar. He also enjoyed traveling and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Darlene E. Davis, who passed away January 25, 2012; three brothers, Sam Davis, Paris Davis and Jay Davis; two sisters, Mert Davis and Ivydene Davis; and one grandchild.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Jennifer A. Davis of Jasper; five children, Lynette Ann (fiancé: Christopher Manning) Blessinger of Jasper, Ryan Scott Davis of Jasper, Scotty Ray Davis of Birdseye, Rebecca Long of Jasper, and Darla (ex-husband: William Phillips) Phillips of Jasper; one stepchild, Marianna Wagner of Jasper; two sisters, Orena Holand and Sue W. Cynders, both of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Henry Scott Davis will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow at Wickliffe Cemetery in Wickliffe, Indiana.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday. A rosary prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
