Health Dept reports seventh COVID-19 death
The Dubois County Health Department confirmed one new death of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been identified. This brings the total to seven related deaths of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents.
“It is with tremendous sorrow that we share the news of another loss of one of our own county residence related to COVID-19,” said Dr. Ted Waflart, Dubois County Health Officer. “Having to report a loss is never easy. Dubois County Health Department staff and I extend prayers and deepest condolences to this individual’s family friends during this time.”

Did this morning person have an underlying condition? I think the community should be able to know.
Nice try, Rob, but don’t think so – not from/by this Health Dept/Officer most of the time (it did come out once, not sure how or why in that case nor why not for any others. It’s nothing of any privacy issue and agree it’s public health information. That said, in the vast majority of all legitimate covid deaths everywhere, underlying health conditions plus higher ages in/over the 60-70 range and beyond are primary factors/contributors.
