Health Dept reports another death from Covid-19

Friday, the Dubois County Health Department confirmed two new positive cases and one new death of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified.

This brings the total to 248 positive cases and 6 related deaths of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents.

“We mourn the death and extend our prayers and sympathies to this individual’s family and friends,” said Dr. Ted Walflart, Dubois County Health Officer. “This serves as an unfortunate reminder to all of the Dubois County community about the importance of following the recommended guidelines to stop the spread of this virus and help protect our most vulnerable neighbors. We cannot stress enough for you all to wear a mask when around others, practicing social distancing, and wash your hands frequently.”

Of the 248 cases, 196 have reportedly recovered.


Hasta el 19 de junio, a las 8 a.m., el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Dubois confirma que se han identificado 2 nuevos casos positivos de una nueva muerte del nuevo coronavirus (COVID-19).  Esto eleva el total a 248 casos positivos y 6 muertes relacionadas de COVID-19 en residentes del condado de Dubois.  

Estamos trabajando en estrecha colaboración con el Departamento de Salud del Estado de Indiana y funcionarios locales para asegurar que se identifiquen y supervisen los contactos estrechos de los pacientes.  Todas las personas que pueden tener un riesgo de exposición a estos casos positivos están siendo notificadas sobre posibles exposiciones para que se puedan seguir procedimientos adecuados de control de infecciones.  Los casos positivos están aislados.

  2. One way to lower the COVID cases is to stop testing and reporting. It will magically go away! Testing is overrated.
