And why we putting kids back in school when were still the hotspot of cases ……. who’s gonna say were going to take care of our children!!!!
The children do not have to go back into the school building. They can choose the online option.
There putting our children at risk and teachers. You see it in different cities already.
An incredibly/comparatively ultra-LOW risk for students AND teachers, Steve – less than the risk of a child being injured by simply walking or riding the school bus to school, and also much less risk from students to healthy adults/teachers, which are fractionally low to begin with. Life itself has more/bigger risks on a daily basis…there are no guarantees, save for those of harm to students by not returning to school/life sooner than later or at all. What “you see(it) in different cities already” is more the selective/subjective ‘woe-is-us’, fear-mongering mainstream media reporting for political purposes and playing on the misunderstanding and fears of the mainstream.
So if we can have gatherings of children in a large setting, then why are we canceling large events for adults? What’s the difference??
In a nutshell, the virus is a totally different one in terms of minimal infection/transmission and susceptibility risks (nearly ZERO) for healthy youth/children than for adults/vulnerable adults – plus many adult habits and behaviors are more loose, compromised and up-close/personal. You should read/hear about these differences from more fair/balanced sources – even to some limited degree of CDC and NIH, etc – than from others of CNN and the left-lib, anti-Trump, anti-American bias, et al.
The difference is that it’s all about the US’s tanking economy. People can’t get fully back to work if they have to stay home and be babysitters. Get the kids out of the house and we can all get back to work and create a mirage of “normalcy” and economic rebound [permanent job loss and failed small businesses aside].
If we have to sacrifice a few teachers, cafeteria workers or bus drivers in order to do that, so be it. Just the cost of doing business.
Do you have kids? If so, are you willing to sacrifice your kids?
They do not have to go back into the buildings if they do not want to. They can choose the virtual school option
All school systems are in need of bus drivers. Since you feel the way you do, why don’t you throw your hat in the ring and see how it goes for you?
What about the other 234? I’m no Einstein but… 655-409-12=234. Did those people just vanish?
They are still sick.
It’s not about the economy. It’s about LIFE going on. We cannot hide in our homes forever. What are we waiting for? A vaccine that may never come? A vaccine that most people won’t even take because of possible side effects? The concept of “life” is about people actually living it. I chose not to live in fear long before COVID. If anyone else chooses to, that is their business. But the vast majority of people, scared or not, are ready for something that actually looks like a life worth living and raising their children in. 98% survival rate folks. Blast me with big numbers all you want. 98% means 98%.
