Gibson County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested for child seduction
A Gibson County Deputy Sheriff is in jail this afternoon after being arrested on multiple child seduction charges.
Earlier in 2017, the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint against Deputy Daniel Greer, 29, of Princeton. The information alleged that Greer had sexual relations with two male juveniles. The sheriff’s department requested the case be investigated by the Indiana State Police and detectives began their investigation in early June.
Through the investigation, detectives learned that between January and March 2017, Greer is alleged to have had sexual relations with the two juveniles while off-duty, on two separate occasions.
Greer was a school resource officer for the Sheriff’s Department; however, the incidents did not occur on school property.
Greer was charged with two Level 5 felony counts of child seduction and a Level 6 felony count of obstruction of justice. He was booked into the Gibson County Jail at 1:30 p.m. CDT without incident. He was transported to the Knox County Jail where he is being held without bond.
I hope he gets many years I don’t understand he was suppose to be the good guy and stand against sexual abuse but instead he decided to spoil the department and officers represents.
That’s ridiculous, my guess is you have no idea what happened so let’s not jump to conclusions and condemn the innocent.
Not so ridiculous, and actually she has a very valid point – but so do you (rush to judgement, no one knowing all the facts). Whether true or not and guilty or not, it’s sick, sick, SICK!
I warned him 4 years ago to stop messaging my son. He stalked him around town as well. I hope he gets exactly what he deserves! Time in the “pokey” damned perverted piece of filth!
Why is it child seduction and not sexual misconduct with a minor? Because he’s a cop?
I seriously doubt it. Like so many laws it probably has to do with their wording and subtle differences between them as they apply/don’t apply to these circumstances – and we don’t know all the facts, do we?
It’s true and sick
Never pre- judge anyone without facts or evidence. It will all come out in the rinse. Allegations or Accusations must be proven in a court of Law…
Trust me …it is all very true and painful and hard to read in the public or see him free. And to read such horrific things are very hurtful and hard to deal with for the family and the victims.
Ive known him for 12 years! Him and i are the same age. I NEVER thought he would ever do this kind of act. Blows my mind!!
Your innocent until proven guilty. So don’t be quick to judge without knowing any facts or evidence. He said she said does not stand up in a court of law.
You must be good friends with him, to think that these children would come up with something this sick and put their families in themselves in such turmoil. Seriously it’s to make a joke about one thing but the stick themselves out there and put themselves in these kind of positions over someone they do not know just random let’s get real. After all he found them over social media mean look it up you can read all about it. I can’t see a child doing something like this for words to families and putting themselves out there in the media and in front of their friends just for something stupid like a lie so I can’t help to think that this is true. And I say Bravo to them for standing up specially to an officer cuz that’s must be the scariest thing to stand up to a authority figure. It’s one thing to do to a stranger but an officer of the law that’s really Brave.
