Gary J. Schmidt, age 49, of San Francisco, California, and formerly of Jasper passed away (Thursday, May 23, 2013), at his home.
He was born in Jasper, Indiana, May 13, 1964, to John and Betty (Henke) Schmidt.
Gary was a graduate of Jasper High School class of 1982. He graduated from Indiana University in 1986 with a degree in accounting.
He was CPA working in finance for a non-profit organization throughout his career.

Celebration of life Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (June 4, 2013) in Precious Blood Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery at a later date in Jasper.
Friends may call one hour before services at Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society or to Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Memorial services are planned in San Francisco at a later date.
