Friday: 7 new Covid-19 cases
Friday, the Dubois County Health Department reported seven new cases of Covid-19 among Dubois County residents.
This brings the total number of cases in Dubois County to 297. Of the 297 cases, 250 have reportedly recovered (a recovery is someone self-reporting they are out of isolation and feeling better). There have been six deaths in the county.
According to the health department, a total of 3,242 tests have been submitted.

I really hope they do for people to be safe. And for u non wearing mask people thinking mask are a freedom and against rights thing.
In my brief outing today to pick up lunch, I saw very few people wearing masks or maintaining social distance. Ask Floridians how that’s working out for them.
Folks like “Irma” seem to have a very distorted, no doubt politically-based notion that that putting a small piece of fabric across their nose and mouth somehow constitutes some huge infringement on their civil liberties. “My life, my choice.”
The fact is, it’s really not about you, Irma. It’s about protecting your friends and neighbors and everyone else you come into contact with from a potentially deadly virus. That’s called being socially responsible. And frankly, it’s what we as Christians should all be willing to do until there is a vaccine. A small sacrifice, it would seem, to help keep one another safe.

EXACTLY! There is little to no evidence that masks, even N95’s, prevent COVID from getting through. Even the glorified Dr. Fauci said back in March that masks essentially do nothing.
In fact, there is evidence that wearing masks for prolonged periods of time can have an adverse effect.
As Will said, if masks are so helpful, you shouldn’t have to worry about other people not wearing one.
It’s more from keeping people who have the virus from infecting others. Also, healthcare professionals having been wearing masks for prolonged periods of time for years. If that’s how you really feel about masks maybe never get surgery.

I’m all for everyone wearing masks.
I’m tired of hearing people say “I can’t breathe in a mask” but healthcare workers have to wear a mask for up to 12 hours a day. If you can’t wear one because of “medical” issues, then maybe you should stay home. I wear one to protect those I love and even strangers I don’t know because I’m a caring person. If you had to go to the ER and the medical staff didn’t wear gloves, you’d be throwing a damn fit. Just wear the mask. It may be an inconvenience but much better than a ventilator.
