Frances Bernadette DuCett
Frances DuCett

Frances was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on June 8, 1954, and emigrated from Canada to the United States as the second youngest of nine siblings. The family made Miami Beach, Florida their new home with the entire family speaking only French. Her father was a carpenter.

Frances and Frank were married on St. Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1978, in Mesa, Arizona. Frances and Frank lived in Arizona, Texas, Florida, Idaho, and Tennessee, while working on Electronics and Aerospace projects, prior to their move to Jasper in 2000.

Frances was never happier, and always felt safe and at home while here in Dubois County.

She was devoted to caring for her husband, her two dogs and had a lifelong love and concern for all animals and was an avid supporter of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

I know that she would insist that I add …Thank you all for welcoming us to your community.

    1. Thanks, that place and you all were really a big deal for her, she was always so excited about going, playing and seeing the people, then coming home and telling me about it all.

  4. Bernadette was such a lovely lady. Always smiling when she came into Walmart, she would make a down day full of sunshine. Truly sorry for your loss Frank. She was an angel on earth.

  6. Hi Frank,
This is your cousin Bill Horvatich. Aunt Ida called to give us the sad news of the passing of your wife Frances. Wish my wife, Janice, and I could have met her. She sounds like a special person, and it’s good to know that you had a wonderful 42-year marriage with her. We hope that you have friends and family that can help you adjust to your loss in the coming days and months. Our thoughts and regards are with you.

    1. Thanks Bill, This will take some time, we we’re close. I went back to work after 5 days,, people there helped.
      Thanks

    1. Frank, I just heard about Frances a little while ago. I’m sorry to hear of her passing, she was such a main stay at the Legions on Bingo nights! I’ll miss her spunkiness! You and your family have my condolences and prayers.

      Love

      1. Bingo and especially the people she met there were a highlight of her week. She loved it.

  8. Michelle,
Thanks for your kind and considerate words. Applebee’s is the only place I could get her to walk to with me, we even came over in a snowstorm once… on foot.
May be a while, buy I’ll be back in to see you all again.
    Thanks, Frank
