Fourth Covid-19 death reported; 12 new cases
The Dubois County Health Department reported a fourth Dubois County resident has died from Covid-19. Additionally, there are 12 new cases confirmed.
“The Dubois County Health Department is deeply saddened to share the news of the loss of our fourth COVID-19 related death in a Dubois County resident,” said Dr. Ted Waflart, Dubois County Health Officer. “Our team at the health department sends our deepest condolences to family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
This brings the total cases in the county up to 227 with 145 recovered. The health department is reporting 1,727 tests have been completed.

Sickening to hear. Because very little people are not wearing mask. It dont matter where these people have been u ask. Do your part and protect everyone and yourself.
“Because very little people are not wearing mask” may or may not have anything to do with these and other infections – in fact we really don’t know how they occurred. There are so many ways of transmission to include many different environments and actions, and not wearing masks is but one possibility. However if masks were the only way, or even the most proven way, then we wouldn’t also have/had such strict and mandatory social distancing and lock-down/shut-down rules plus hygiene and hand-washing/sanitizing advisories, etc. – all in ADDITION to mask recommendations. That said, limiting duration and distancing of contacts and gatherings, esp as confined with others in vehicles or indoors, and keen self-assessment of vulnerability factors plus self-awareness at all times in terms of a decision for the who/what/where to subject oneself, is the best foundational way of protection/prevention whenever possible, supplemented/supported by many of the others, including masks.
